    The lot code does make it a 250MHz part. There is, unfortunately, no external marking for it, so you either have to refer to the order from the distributor, or ask for the lot code to be looked up.

    The lot code is correct for early 250Mhz silicon (A1) that managed it's way into sample inventory. As mentioned, everything has transitioned over to A3 in stock today though.
 
 BigJon if you want to send me a PM with your contact details, I can get some replacement A3 parts sampled out. (Or, if you've got an mDirect account, ALL available material is now rotated to A3 so you can order new samples...)
